Wednesday nights with free No Limit Texas Hold 'em.

Unlike casino gambling and home-based poker games with friends, you can
enjoy the thrill of playing poker each week without losing real money. Using
chips, players vie for prizes and can earn cumulative points towards
participation in The Station Pub’s quarterly Tournament of Champions.

There is no charge to play and anyone over the age of 21 can participate.
Play starts at 7:30 p.m. every Wednesday, and participants can register at
the bar. Tournament organizers are on hand to answer questions about game
rules and etiquette.

It’s a great way to learn the game, hone your poker skills and meet new
people.

Texas Hold 'em first caught the public eye in 1998 with the movie “Rounders”
starring Matt Damon and Edward Norton. It was the main game played during
the movie.

In 2003, Texas Hold 'em exploded in popularity as a spectator sport in the
United States, in part due to ESPN’s coverage of the World Series of Poker
that featured the unexpected victory of Internet player Chris Moneymaker
(his real name), an amateur player who gained admission to the tournament by
winning a series of online tournaments. Two additional Hold 'em series
debuted in 2003: the “World Poker Tour” and "Celebrity Poker Showdown”.

Located in the historic Lambertville Station, The Station Pub is
Lambertville’s premier destination for lively spirits, casual dining and the
best entertainment. In addition to Texas Hold ‘em on Wednesdays, the Station
Pub holds Trivia Night every Tuesday, Local Singer/Songwriter Night on
Thursdays and live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
